Kathua: Revenue Department refutes allegations
circulating on Social Media
KATHUA, DECEMBER 18: The Revenue
Department Kathua has strongly contested the allegations made in a video
circulating on social media, claiming that the department operates under the
influence of certain influential individuals.
Refuting the allegations Tehsildar
Bani Predhyum Attri said ‘the accusations made by the person in the video are
entirely unfounded and are hereby categorically denied’.
“It is clarified that the land
demarcation referred to in the video was conducted solely on the basis of an
online application bearing number 1190141220242, dated 14.12.2024. The
demarcation was carried out as per due process and had no connection with any
influential person, contrary to the claims made in the video,” a departmental
handout said.
It further stated that the
allegation of tampering with revenue records is completely false. The
demarcation was conducted solely to delineate the Khasra number of the
applicant and had no relation to any encroachment or anti-encroachment drive.
"The public is urged to
remain cautious about such unverified sources, which may disrupt local peace by
spreading misinformation," the Tehsildar said.
