General Observer inspects polling
stations in AC-57 Reasi
REASI, SEPTEMBER 16: In preparation for the upcoming assembly
elections, the General Observer for AC-57 Reasi and AC-58 SMVD conducted a
thorough inspection of three key polling stations today. The polling stations
inspected were Gran Brotian 1 (Polling Station 169), Gran Barotian 1A (Polling
Station 168), and Gran Barotian (Polling Station 167) in Assembly Constituency
57 (Reasi).
The General Observer’s inspection included a review of the
latest voter lists, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in voter data. Emphasis
was placed on the proper distribution of these voter lists, which is essential
for smooth election procedures in the forthcoming assembly elections. The
Observer ensured that all preparations at these stations are in accordance with
the guidelines laid out by the Election Commission of India.
The Observer also interacted with polling officials to verify
the arrangements being made for the voters, ensuring that all necessary steps
were being taken to provide a fair and transparent election process.
Additionally, the General Observer assessed the availability of Assured Minimum
Facilities (AMFs) at the polling stations, which are crucial for ensuring a
comfortable and accessible voting experience for all.
This inspection marks another significant step in the ongoing
efforts to ensure a free and fair election in the Reasi district. Election
officials and stakeholders have been urged to maintain a high level of
preparedness as the assembly elections approach.
