SVEEP team hosts musical concert at
GDC Mendhar to reach out young Electorates
MENDHAR, MAY
02: As part of Systematic Voters’
Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme, the District Election
Cell Poonch organized a musical concert
themed “MY VOTE , MY VOICE” at Government Degree College here. .
The aim of the
concert was to educate and motivate young voters to exercise their right to
vote as responsible citizens.
The event witnessed
impressive performances by Ehsan Asgar, Aftab Mir and other local artists.
Speaking on the
occasion, District Election Officer Yasin M.Choudhary emphasized that the
purpose of the programme was to spread electoral literacy among students and
youth and motivate them to participate in the election process. He further
urged the young voters to exercise their franchise without fail and contribute
towards strengthening of democracy.
The event witnessed
huge participation of students and locals which gave a fillip to the already
built up electoral atmosphere in the district.
A signature
campaign was also conducted to motivate the voters to cast their vote.
The event was also
attended by SSP, Yougal Manhas, SDM Mendhar, and other officers of district
administration.
