Municipal Council Anantnag Organizes “SVANidhi Se Samriddhi” Prog
ANANTNAG, FEBRUARY 22: The Municipal
Council (MC) Anantnag today organized an impactful “SVANidhi Se Samriddhi”
programme at Town Hall Anantnag aimed to
empowering street vendors by creating awareness about the benefits of
the PM SVANidhi scheme and other government-linked welfare initiatives.
Commissioner Secretary, H&UDD,
Mandeep Kour, while addressing the
function virtually, emphasizing the need
for street vendors to avail full benefits of the SVANidhi scheme. She urged
them to focus on proper sanitation, cleanliness, digital payments, and actively
seek assistance through various government welfare schemes to enhance their
businesses and livelihoods.
The event witnessed the presence of
Director Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, Qazi Sarwar, and Additional District
Development Commissioner, Abdul Aziz
Sheikh.
Addressing the participants, the
officers stressed the importance of maximizing the benefits of the SVANidhi
scheme, ensuring financial inclusion, and enhancing socio-economic upliftment
through government support.
A
large number of street vendors, local residents, and stakeholders
actively participated in the event, making it a grand success.
Besides, awareness sessions, the
programme also featured various cultural performances, adding a vibrant touch
to the occasion.
