Rajouri reviews arrangements for Mahashivratri, Ramazan
RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 21:
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting in the
Conference Hall of the DC office to review the arrangements for the upcoming
Mahashivratri and Ramazan. The meeting focused on ensuring seamless management
of essential services, security, and public convenience during the festive
period.
Emphasizing the
regulation of prices, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers
to keep check on rates of essential commodities and ensure the smooth
availability of milk, cheese, vegetables, and other necessary items.
To maintain hygiene and
sanitation, the Executive Officer of the Municipal Council was instructed to
ensure cleanliness in the town, especially near religious places.
Additionally, the DC
stressed that the celebrations should be conducted as zero-waste events,
encouraging proper waste management practices.
Reviewing the utility
services, the DC directed Executive Engineer PDD, Abdul Rasheed, to ensure an
uninterrupted power supply, while ExEn PHE, Ashwani Khajuria, was tasked with
guaranteeing adequate water supply to all areas. AD FCS&CA was asked to
ensure the timely distribution of ration to beneficiaries.
To facilitate smooth
traffic management, the Deputy Commissioner instructed authorities to designate
proper parking spaces near temples and mosques during the festivals. He further
directed officials to provide a comprehensive list of temples so that effective
crowd management and security measures could be put in place.
In view of fire safety,
the Fire and Emergency Department was asked to station fire Tenders at key
locations and ensure the installation of fire extinguishers at religious
places.
SSP Rajouri, Gaurav
Sikarwar, emphasized the importance of security measures and directed all
organizations to install CCTV cameras near temples, mosques and shrines to
enhance surveillance.
The Deputy Commissioner
urged all stakeholders to work in coordination to ensure the smooth observance
of Mahashivratri and Ramadhan, prioritizing public convenience, security, and
civic responsibility.
The meeting was attended
by ADC Rajiv Khajuria, AD FCS&CA Rohit Kumar, Executive Engineer PWD,
Sardar Khan, Executive Engineer PDD Abdul Rasheed, Executive Engineer PHE
Ashwani Khajuria, district and sectoral officers, representatives of various
organizations, religious leaders, and prominent citizens.
