CRPF 187 Battalion organises free
medical camp at village Punara
UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER
20: A free medical camp was today organized by 187 Battalion CRPF under civic
action Program. The camp was held under the supervision of Mohammad Sazid,
Commandant 187 Bn, CRPF at G/187 Bn stationed at Village-Punara, District-
Udhampur.
As many as 350
Patients including men, women and children from Village- Khaned, Raichek,
Kadua, Sang Punara and other nearby
villages, were benefited by this medical camp, as free medical check-ups and
free medicines were provided to them.
The Medical camp
was organized with the help of Dr. Manish Rundla, Medical officer of 137 Bn,
CRPF, Dr. Yashir Sheikh Block Medical
Officer Basantgarh and Paramedical staff of 187 Bn, CRPF.

Govt. Higher Secondary School Punara, were also present .
Addressing the
gathering, the Commandant stated that CRPF 187 Bn always is there to help local
populace. He further highlighted various social welfare and outreach programmes
held by the Battalion to develop a connection with the villagers.
“CRPF is performing
operational duties in all parts of the Nation and is simultaneously doing works
related to development of social and human aspects to enable rural people to
become good citizens and contribute towards the progress of the Nation” , he
added.
While thanking the
dignitaries, he informed that similar medical camps will be organized in the
battalion’s deployment areas from time to time. The medical camp set-in an
atmosphere of joy as the local people get free consultations and medicines for
different ailments.
